5kWh batteries: affordable energy storage for Ukraine
19 september 2026
Eyes on Ukraine is investing heavily in 5kWh 48V LiFePO4 batteries.
These batteries offer high-capacity energy storage at a relatively low cost. Prices have dropped to around €500–€700, depending on the model. We supply both server rack batteries and golf cart batteries, each suited to different applications.
Depending on the need, these batteries can be used to:
- Expand an existing power station by the battery expansion port of the power station (photo on the left)
- Build a complete power station with a hybrid solar inverter (photo on the right)
- Store solar energy as part of an off-grid solar system
- Store energy generated by a generator
- Buffer grid power during outages
- Create a basic power station with a separate charger and DC-to-AC inverter
- Power DC devices with a separate charger and DC-to-DC step down converter
- Power an unmanned ground vehicle
They are especially valuable during power outages and for positions with high energy demands, such as command centers, medical stabilization points, and workshops.
So far, Eyes on Ukraine has purchased 120 of these 5kWh batteries, and half of them are already in use by the Ukrainian military.
Every battery we deliver helps keep critical systems running where reliable power can make the difference between success and failure.
Winter is coming.
