Ecoflow has just “enshittified” the Delta 2.

After installing firmware version V1.0.2.176 (from July 2026), universal 5kWh batteries only charge to about 60%.
Charging stops as soon as the Ecoflow unit is full. Consequently, the capacity drops from 1+5 kWh to approximately 1+3 kWh.

My theory on how Ecoflow did this is that they lowered the charging voltage and modified the internal battery’s BMS so that it still fully charges at the lower voltage, whereas the external battery requires the original, higher voltage to reach full charge.
