Last year, YouTuber Erik McVay discovered a way to connect high capacity universal batteries to portable power stations. This breakthrough made it possible to dramatically increase energy storage capacity at a fraction of the cost of proprietary expansion batteries.

Today, Eyes on Ukraine, our partner Benjamin Hoerber and a Ukrainian brigade are using this approach to build and deliver at least 50 high-capacity 6 kWh power stations to the Ukrainian defenders by autumn.

To help others get started, we created this video showing how additional batteries can be connected to an EcoFlow power station. A future video will explain how to build the connection cable yourself.

We challenge makers, engineers, volunteers, and organizations everywhere to build their own high-capacity power stations. Ukraine has a huge need for reliable energy solutions, not only on the front line, but also in workshops, command posts, medical facilities, and critical infrastructure.
